Not To You

Not To You

Not to you

It was the last time, I wish to forget. Not you, not themselves.

Anger does not always cloud my judgment. But you must

Understand that disappointment is different. A friend to me, when you cannot be.

I will forgive, but no apology shall go to you. Its not in my place.

Sleep comes easy, for it makes me forget. Remembrance hurts to no end,

Especially when the reminders take their jobs seriously.

This may hurt, only if your the right person, only if you know what I mean.

But I get the feeling that no one really knows. For they themselves always have to show.

So to make this more cryptic, so they will stop telling me the tears are mine,

I will leave you wondering how to read this painful regret of divine.

Shadows are seen, off in the distance. Who they belong to, does it really matter?

They now are just shadows, not willing to try. Can shadows even shed a tear?

I know this makes no real sense. But it isn't suppose to. Not to anyone.

Not to you.
