What now?

What now?

A Poem by Sunny
"

very thankful for all the people in my life, those who came and left at one point, and those who came back and stayed.

"
I moved away, yes
and sort of thought we would still talk.
I didn't think I would feel so alone,
or forgotten by so many
people.

So what now?

Maybe not forgotten,
just not thought about enough
for someone to take the time
and send a simple little text.

I just kind of stopped
trying to talk to everyone.
And talked more to the people
who actually take the time to talk with me
those are the people
I love to talk to.

But what now?

Will everything go back to normal when I come back?
Maybe for you, but probably not for me.
we may hangout,
we may even see each other more,
but I doubt that we will talk like we used to.

You never get used to losing people. I know I never could.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks for reading !:)
I can relate to this, it's going to be hard for me to move where I know no one but God sends us to the right people at the right time. I am hoping I can meet those right people and not feel so alone. It is hard to go through separation and change but there is always a reason and sometimes people do come back in our lives like you said in the description.

Good Job

"...but I doubt that we will talk like we used to." - the last line, I love it. :) We just can't bring back a broken glass to its original form. But instead of grieving over that fact, there are really persons who will always stay with us. Great write. :)

Thank you Ana!
It's so hard to find out who doesn't care enough to keep in touch. But, what treasure to find out who does care enough!

Thanks Yuki!
It's true - very often when you leave somewhere where you got to know people, there are promises to text and "keep in touch" but more often than not, these promises go out the window
If this is a true, typed-from-the-heart- factual poem (rather than a fictitious, imaginative one), then I wish you luck.
It's hard to know whether people remember you when they never take the time to text you.
