Black Rock (Who Stole the Soul?)

Black Rock (Who Stole the Soul?)

A Poem by Stoned Immaculate

Sounds of soul silenced
Co-opted art form
No longer belongs
To heirs of Electric Gods.
The genesis released
Black Lightning,
Blue Thunder,
A soulful storm.
Mr. Freed’s watered down notes
Dilute diamonds buried
Beneath the Chitlin Circuit’s ashes
Gatekeepers distort history.
Bloody leaves decay
On paths bordering
Eight gates embracing
Shango's Elysian Fields.
Wandering lost in
Mr. Freed’s partial genre
The heirs witnessed
Exploitation
Propagate Colonial Rock;

Stoned Immaculate
Kramer Ture's & Charles Hamilton's Black Power the Politics of Liberation typifies the mood of this poem.
