LETTERS OF LOVE

LETTERS OF LOVE

A Poem by Saddam

After long time, one day

I opened my aged layered box

Too loaded with lots of may

Emotions, feelings, attachment, max.

My favorite plane with key

My insensate mild brown cat

Colorful monkey with one hand free

Attractive, old fashioned two striped hat.

At one corner, a bundle of paper appeared

The bundle tore my good imagination

With a dark green envelop, it covered-

My unfinished love story’s fraction.

I opened it in my lap with shivering hand

Words at pink paper with multicolored ink

Mild-wild write at never failed moment

The songs letting my heart sink.

These papers in thrilled me back

White blaze papers burnt me inside

The letters of love revert my rack

I closed that memory box at a sight.

Loved these stanza's lines.

These papers in thrilled me back

White blaze papers burnt me inside

The letters of love revert my rack

I closed that memory box at a sight.

I was confused by several phrases
after long time: after a long time
lots of may?
max?
at one corner: in one corner
Words at pink paper: words on pink paper
mild-wild?
in thrilled?
revert my rack?
at a sight: on sight

Liked:
"the bundle tore my good imagination"
The overall image/premise
Stable punctuation.

Nyc poem. If one had memories that could be preserved, would have many such scribblings which would make us laugh or cry. Reminds me of my old school notebooks or the diary I used to write my first poems in. Well done
