Struggling

Struggling

A Poem by Sahm Moore

i didn’t travel far enough to outrun all my troubles.
the ties that bind still pull tight while I gasp and hide and struggle.
they don’t see that I can’t breathe and I can’t find my way out.
so I’ll cut the lines and turn out the lights.
don’t be surprised by the silence.

About
As a gay kid in a small Texas town I knew I was different than a lot of my friends. I wasn't sure where or how I fit in. So, I fell in love with books and worlds I so easily drifted into. Looking back.. more..
