Because I'm Breaking Again.

Because I'm Breaking Again.

A Poem by RedRozeNinja13

‘You’re so sweet.’

‘God you’re so funny.’

‘I’d love you but…..’

‘I don’t have time for what you do...’

‘You’re pretty smart.’

‘How do you make me smile so much?’

‘I really don’t want our hands to touch...’

They tell me all the time-

all I want is a girl who’s smart, who’s funny, who’s sweet to the core-

They always say they want nothing more.

But then, how am I still alone?

I watch them walk down the halls-

with the girls caked in make-up,

straightened hair,

a personality so plastic,

I’m surprised she can talk at all.

They toss me a smile with their arms around her-

her, because they’re all the same.

And I smile back, like it’s nothing at all.

Like it’s them that I really don’t blame.

I smile as I start to fall,

as I want to scream and yell what liars they are,

How they don’t ever see me,

How they won’t ever love me.

I can fall apart alone,

Nobody there to see,

Nobody there to care.

I’m alone because we live,

In such a selfish world,

A world where I’m breaking again-

And Nobody’s even there.

Don't worry, Saundy, there's someone out there for you. If I can find a guy, so can you. And he's gonna be funny, and caring, and sweet, and smart, and love you for who you are. Those guys do exist, even if it doesn't seem like it at times. I promise you.

And those guys you're writing about? They don't deserve someone like you. They deserve exactly what they get. And that's nothing. You are better than them. You don't need them. You are strong and no one can tell you you're not.

On a different note, good poem! Really expresses your feelings and what you think, as well as flowing nicely.

Love ya, girl. Keep your chin up and keep on believing.

"I think I may have just called out the entire male population"
Don't worry about it 'cause some of us are secure and can take it...besides, you called out boys, not real men.
I think this is an excellent piece that thoroughly nails what the others (the B-list peeps) feel often in their youth. Good job.
...BUT "forever" at that age ALWAYS ends, thank God...and thank God for age and wisdom!

This is such a good poem. Especially the second stanza. I feel like that sometimes, too. That they're just hypocrites who end up with the girls who look like models in the end.
Very good poem, indeed :)

This is a thoughtful and touching poem. We've all been there but somewhere out there, there is someone special for you and that person will be so happy that you are 'you'. Keep up the good writing hun.

I know how this feels.
But I also know that unless you feel comfortable in your own skin,
It will be pretty hard to find the right guy.
