A Poem by Savegra
"

a poem I wrote about 2 years ago. memories

"
I look at the sky
And strongly try
To kill the shadow of memories..
Inside my mind.
You've
Poisoned my heart
Torn it apart
And now the tears falling on my skin
Cut like a knife..

I wish I knew from the start
Some people don't have a heart ...
You took my soul away
And promised you'll find a way
To make my life fairytale..
To keep the problems away..

And then, like wounded birds..
My hopes got ruined by rocks
My dreams passed before me eyes
As you told me -

Goodbye

...

The clouds thicken above
The raindrops fall on my eyes
They wash my tears away
And make me smile through the pain..

So now I look at the sky
And wonder if there's a guy
Who'd make my butterflies fly
And love me until I die...

This is so bitterly sad and mournful...it brings tears to my eyes. I certainly know this pain...the doubt...the fear, but the worst part of it is the feeling of injustice I think. How can something that is treasured above all else in one's heart turn to betray them and fill them with pain? So one loses a sense of trust...loses faith in others...loses hope along with joy and love...and is sad because they WANT to believe...they WANT to hope...they WANT to love! And don't they DESERVE to be happy? My experience tells me that love never hurts. But misplaced faith can cause a great amount of pain. We rush into relationships with unrealistic expectations inconsistent with the character of the person to whom we offer our loyalty. THAT is the problem. But there are people who can be trusted and there are people who can return the love we give. Don't ask me where they are...(laughing)...but I believe that there are other hearts as tender as mine...other minds as strong and other souls as true...we must find a "kindred" spirit and one that shares our vision or ideal. That can be a very difficult task and not one for the impatient. We just have to keep our faith. Bless.
