affliction

affliction

A Poem by Seriana

Affliction

Are you still scared?
Do you feel me where it hurts,
The most…
there.
There,
in the soft.
Where you breath in the lonely,
And exhale the hurt?

The pieces of broken are all lined up,
Marching their orders given by you.
Yet…
Still. They. Stand.
Shadow covered in the cold,
hard,
ash of the moon.

Are you still scared,
love?
Does the knot twist the numb?
Does the fear fight the rise,
shading it when the sting comes?
The reasons assigned to this pain are without…
You.

Are you still scared?
Do you hurt me when it feels?
The most…
There.
In the dark.
Where I breath in the pain,
And exhale the truth?

A very melodically malady write you've come up with. I believe, if love brings "affection" to hearts, it also becomes a reason to get a piece of "affliction" to its spirit... with much redemption. Nice imagery!

Oh, such a painful, profound voice moves through you... heart and soul... the whispers of these scars... only now healing... the fear of this aching place... Loving is a dangerous thing... for to reach the depth of it.. the beauty of it... one must lay down all their weapons and become completely exposed... and only there in that place of complete surrender can love be truly fulfilled.. or a life be damaged beyond repair...
