That Girl

That Girl

A Poem by Sharon
"

This poem is dedicated to one of my friends who would do anything to help someone and never shows her real feelings.

"
That Girl
Dedicated to my friend.
She walks into school every morning.
She is teased and pushed.
Her frail body is pounded against the lockers
and she falls to the ground.
The bell rings and she walks slowly to her class.
As she walks by, she sees a boy who is hurt.
She gently helps him up and
brings him to the nurse.
When she enters her first class,
she is late.
Her teacher scolds her.
She does not say anything.
Letting the harsh words
slowly absorb into her mind.
She listens to the teacher read a passage.
All she can hear is the same words
go through her mind,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.
Everyone snickers,
she answers the question incorrectly,
The teacher scolds her,
once again,
She does not speak for herself,
afraid,
the thoughts,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.
Lunch time comes around,
She sits at the corner alone,
The same boy,
the one from that morning,
He walks up to her and starts laughing,
She does not ask for return,
for her care and help,
Instead,
The boy brings a crowd,
to make fun of her.
She does not fight back,
nor does she speak,
She listens,
Letting the words break her down.
She does not move,
She just thinks,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.
The rest of her classes,
they resumed with the same,
Scolding,
Laughing,
Listening,
Thinking,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.
She goes home alone,
Scared,
all the words,
said to her that day,
She plays them again,
In her head,
And when,
The large wooden door opens,
She watches,
With fear in her eyes,
Her parents walk in,
Fighting and hitting,
She watches as her dad,
Hits her mom,
And her mom fights back,
She cries without showing tears,
For she is scared,
She does not speak,
Her dad turns on her,
She closes her eyes and again,
She is hit and kicked,
Her parents turn on her,
She does not cry,
She does not speak,
She only thinks,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.
This girl,
This lonely girl,
Although she may not speak,
She helps others,
And sacrifices herself,
She is tortured,
She is abused,
Yet she does not stand up for herself,
She lets the world pass,
Because she knows,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.
And tomorrow,
she shall go through this again,
being hit,
hurt,
scold,
when nobody,
no one knows her story,
Everyone knows her,
As "The Girl,"
the one that is alone,
While she,
Thinks,
Nobody loves me,
I am a nobody,
No use in this world.

Thank you for reading this. :)
This poem will inspire me in just one hour, as I read this story I instantly saw it in my mind a story for her. The story is true to the poem nothing changes it's stay the same every chapter because in life some chapters seem to be the same n matter how much the words changed to describe the same events. Great work.

I'm so sorry for your friend. No one deserves to be treated like this. She seems like a good person stuck in a bed situation. I hope she will be alright.

And I loved this poem. I love your way with details and emotions you put into this. Great job! :)

:) So we need to stand up for them and help as much as we can.

Sadly, I had a friend who was treated this way and I thought it might help to pass the word. She was always going through a hard time at home and she would always be pushed around at school. Those who bully people do not know what the person is going through. Sometimes, its better to leave someone alone. I do not think it is fair for those who are made fun of to have to go through it alone. Which is why I chose to stand up for them.
