A DIVINE WISH

A DIVINE WISH

A Poem by TerryDarcy-Ryan akaSheerTerror
"

" we lay our heads in a monster’s care "

"

a shot in the dark

a flash in the sky

the sound of thunder gives its reply

mother nature instills no fear

when sorted beasts appear

slinking, stalking a move precious to near

we lay our heads in a monster’s care

holding close to Michael’s prayer

here the stars remind us sincere

with a twinkle in a shimmer

an embark of silent wonder

beneath the surface of dreams

back and forth

the luster weaves

a song of hope for a day of sweets

a luminous play of hide and seek

runs a race for a lunar rise

aspire wings to fly the skies

blinded by the shine

held inside

a wish divine

There is softness and strength in this poem. I also liked the images you posted above.

"we embark in the fall of silent wonder
beneath the surface of our dreams"

i can't quite imagine the inspiration you had for this poem since I wasn't so fond (ever in my lifetime) of toy guns and maybe the danger it pose. I can sense the change of rhythm and emotion from dark to something blissful and comforting, even by the presence of something formidable. Great work!

boy, you really must have been a handful. folks indeed must've said, "She's a terror." a dark, troubling, unpredictable theme always flows through your writings. for some reason, this made me think of the following lines from the song 'Riders On The Storm' by The Doors -

Into this house we're born
Into this world we're thrown

fine writing. nice work. very enjoyable ...
