Same Old Rut

Same Old Rut

A Poem by Colton Bose
"

A poem about a feeling; a state of mind, if you will.

"

I already know where I am, and I'm not going anywhere
There's nowhere left to go anymore
No matter how hard I try
And try
And try
Day after day
It ceases to matter
For day after day
Until the day I am old and gray
I will still be in this same old rut
That is is eating me up
From the inside outward

Sad and so lacking in hope. I really like how it starts but it seems to just fade off into a giant rhyme. This isn't necessarily bad it just changes the flow a little. what if you tried editing

I didn't add anything. I edited just with what was there and copy paste and delete. The original is fine too but this is just a different direction you could explore, if you wanted to try something different. The'res really allot of potential especially when you're working with less is more. Of course, I'm kind of biased because I like short poems. Still, even the way it is now, is nice.
