Essence of Ramblings

Essence of Ramblings

A Poem by Colton Bose
"

A short little ditty written whilst under the influence of boredom and decay on one fine day.

"
Isn’t it true all your lovers grow up to be spacemen and cowboys
and all that remains is the sorrow and shame
of a once proud thane now out in the world
odds at ends trying to pretend that everything fine
and life’s like a wine getting better with age
as does the feeling that you are still reeling under the presence
of some outer worldly delight all day and all night
as if the world in all its bittersweet praise was too good to even be a dream
