Spring Fever

Spring Fever

A Poem by Siddartha Beth Pierce

Dandelion delight

daffodils take flight

replaced by the majestic iris

purple passioned in the landscape

redbuds sing out a tune

of a delicious afternoon

trumpeting dogwoods in the dell

how heavenly the smell

of this full bloom love affair

scented sweetly throughout the air

in delirious aromas

the bees sweet hives

come alive

as they dance upon the wind

triumphantly humming along

Spring's fanciful song

has Sprung.

What a delightful picture of spring! :)
There's nothing like sitting in a blooming field, under a blue sky, and just enjoy your thoughts.
Maybe even write something if the mood strikes.

I think the two most noticeable things about this one is the free flow and the imagery, which are both great.
Made me miss the European fields, which I may return to in a few months.

I love the spinning swooning pacing I get from this.
Nicely done, very sweet, almost innocent.
Theres a natural danciness to it with spring in the meter.
