Goodbye My Love

I liked this guy but every time I got the guts to tell him he was already with another girl.

Goodbye my love,

Cute as a God,

Sweet as ice cream cake,

and funny as comedy central,

Goodbye my love,

Who made my heart skip a beat,

Made me loose my breathe,

Goodbye my love,

For the guy I thought was my one and only,

But I see I was wrong,

As I try to get my head  up,

And come  up to speak the truth,

The next day I would see her,

The girl who helped brake my heart,

In piece's I will say,

So right now I try to get through the day,

Goodbye my love,,

Please just stay away.

the word "break" was a typo

Great great poem! Its sad yet it shows what really needs to be done... Being blunt and just saying goodbye. No big scene, but shows you have more strength, and dignity than what he or she will ever have.

This was a good read. You have a good flow of words. The emotion felt in your words, while not over powering, do show your feeling of hurt and resentment. But what I like the most is by writing this and actually saying Goodbye.. it shows your strength of character. Good Job and always keep writing!!!!

That's the first thing that sprang into my head when I read this. Your use of everyday, non-poetic imagery in lines 3 and 4 compliment the closing stanza well.
I'm still a little unsure about the use of "comedy central" but what it does show is someone who is genuine and chooses clarity over pompous. keep writing

p.s. line fourteen, is "break" a play on words or a typo?
