The day I flirted with wisdom

The day I flirted with wisdom

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I thought I found wisdom
but she only smiled at me, from a distance
and whispered
while she disappeared
on the wings
of a crimson sunset's zephyr -

try again, young man
stop bandaging your knees
for you are collecting
scars upon scars

Chin up,

face up,

and learn, now that you've felt -
how not to fall.

Don’t be overwise; fling yourself straight into life, without deliberation; don’t be afraid - the flood will bear you to the bank and set you safe on your feet again

I like the above words. I said often to the young soldiers. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry.

Sometimes
Wisdom says
Go for what you want
And think of nothing else

Wisdom dictates
Your wants follow your needs
You just have to trace them
