Dialogue with a poem

Dialogue with a poem

A Poem by SleeplessVolcano

I had a dialogue with a poem
it asked me to not look for interesting words
but to merely listen
to its whispers
for simple truth
is more powerful
than lofty words

But I protested
and said that the right word
at the right time
in the perfect line
is like a symphony
or a kiss for breakfast

But I agreed
to wait for those whispers
and seek beauty
in simplicity
and suddenly
my unborn words
just fell into place.
