Summer of 16

Summer of 16

A Poem by SmittyJas
"

Romance was in swing

"
It was the summer of my Sixteen's
Birthday and I was In Love
With My Teenage angel
She was sweet witty and smart
She had  my heart
in her hands
as I gave it willingly on demand
My eye would squint at her bright light
 mesmerizing me at first sight
She was beauty she was a delight
She  made my heart skip a beat
She made my soul complete
She made a chilly day
Into a beautiful summer afternoon
On the beach walking barefoot
Hand in Hand Talking of love
As we got closer to each other
Mind Heart and Soul
Groomed together
For love to grow
Letting everyone to know around us
We'll be in love forever and a day
Till eternity fades away
and The Christ open the Gates of Heaven
Where eternity is forever and a day
Under God Tender care
Heavenly beings we all shall be
As In Life I have given my Heart to thee
