What are We?

What are We?

What are we? A dream none-the-less or perhaps just maybe, a lost shepherd's sheep?

What are We
By: Adam M. Snow

What are we?
A dream none-the-less
or perhaps just maybe,
a lost shepherd's sheep?

What are we?
A caged bird who sings
or are we more than what we see?
Perhaps we're a dream within itself,
or maybe the dreamer.

Have we lost our ways,
a reason to live?
Have we forgotten the beauty of life,
that of a natures worth?

Perhaps we fratricide our being,
as we fall unto greed.
We steal from the poor man,
and we give it all to the rich.

We teach the youth to kill;
to teach love is a crime.
We forgot what we once believed,
blamed it all on God, not ourselves.

What are we? Who are we?
A dream none-the-less
or perhaps just maybe,
a lost shepherd's sheep?

Oh dear poet I loved this write, at least I can commend on your fourth stanza. Wow, that was truly amazing insight, so true, I must say, I never ever give it to the rich nasty mf'rs, who are taking it away in real life from me now, I fight all justice, and if you have such honest convictions and true life facts as in this write, dear, you are an mastermind :) smiling :) (p.s. Always fight for those who deserve it, even when it's yourself....)

Your questions are very good one's. In the world of internet and media. Men in leadership can't communicate and solve problems. There is no innocent in this world. I pray for better days my friend. Every time a Soldiers is killed in police actions throughout the world. Brake my heart.
"What are we? Who are we?"
Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

I am the poor man for wich your fourth stanza speeks and I must say, I do indeeed feel as though I have been robbed. Perhaps not of monatary gain but I have been robbed of reason and sanity for I am treeted as something less. I am spat upon by a society that looks down on the poor amung us as if we are somehow less than human. We blame it all on God when it is our own choices that have made us the way we are. We cannot see past our own ignorance when we think ourselves superior in every way. How arogant are we to think that we are better than our brother. How foolish, to take credit for what we did not create. An amazing write my friend...! Continue always to fight for right and to keep your sanity and wits about you for without them we are nothing!

White wolf... Black wolf. A struggle with mankind continues. Mankind has lost the way and are scattered sheep. The dreamers are the seachers, searching for them. Bringing back what is lost, Being that the lost can hear and recieve. Enjoyed . :)
