Lets Dance

Lets Dance

A Poem by Some John

Photobucket

Your frame locked

At the ready

Your skills honed

Burr aligned

Cold in my hand

Frozen steady

Not a waltz

Nor a quick step

How about a tango

With its heated passion

I will be able to forget

I will hold you tight

Pressing you against my skin

You bring forth my color

As soon as we begin

We dance across tendons

Numbing each finger

Every time you sway past

Crimson surges with every beat

Maybe the next will be my last

Euphoric feelings dizzy me

Now I'm drifting peacefully

Into a darkened trance

Before I'm gone indefinitely

I'd like to thank my blade

For giving me this one last dance

wow! you just took me to a place that was dark and yet seductive. Dancing with death, heated passion I will be able to forget.. STUNNING piece here. This is a fantastic write I almost wish it didn't have the picture until the end of the poem, because of how you paint such a great picture with the words you wrote. I really enjoyed the darkness of this poem.

This blew my mind. The dance of death, to feel the blade as it cut deep. Very wicked good.

The more wicked the better..
Wow..my morbid mind loved every word of this.

Crimson surges with every beat

Maybe the next will be my last

Euphoric feelings dizzy me
Now I'm drifting peacefully
Into a darkened trance
Before I'm gone indefinitely

Some of us just need to acquire different ways of getting a life's "high". I'm not one to judge...self inflicted pain is no different than mental warfare I'm afraid. Well done!

Dark and edgy. I love the picture and the unique dance.

this is really dark,,,I like how it ends with the blade being the dance partner.. all-in-all..a truly great read.
