The Silent Duet

The Silent Duet

A Poem by Scarlet Letter
"

Let me know what you think.

"
Lifeless they stare
Out at the desolate world surrounding them
Hollowed out sockets
Filled with inky blackness
Never to feel fulfilled
A pair together
Yet so alone...
A bridge that can never be crossed
Separates them from happiness
Lonely, so lonely,
A cry never will be heard
Silent misery exudes
With each passing second
Don't stare
For fear of drowning
In the black abyss
Sinking further and further
In to oblivion
