Un~expected Love

Un~expected Love

A Poem by Alexandria
"

Just .... and always will be a simple...love poem

"

I sit watching blue birds fly by gently.

As if they are being held up by pieces of white string.

You stand near quite, but bubbling.

Like a small stream flowing steadily by.

The sun shining so brightly overhead.

The flowers blooming so fully.

Could this be love?

Should this be love?

You tell me.

I place my hands on the soft green grass infront of me pushing myself up into a standing postition.

You come up beside me helping me up gently.

As if I would break so easily.

I smile.

You smile.

Then we walk away.

Could this be love?

Should this be love?

We walk for some time.

Unsure for how long.

You take my hand smiling shyly.

I smile back interlacing our fingers gently.

As a slight breeze sways the grass around us.

The sun becoming hid behing black storm clouds rolling in.

My smile fades for a milisecond then reappears as I feel a light rain drop hit our hands.

Could this be love?

Should this be love?

It is love.

It begins to poor.

We run and we slide.

We laugh and we giggle.

Soon we make it to a small cave in the side of a cliff.

We hurry in and sit down breathing heavily.

I begin to shiver from the slight coldness of the cave and from the wetness of my clothes.

You pull me into your chest wrapping your arms around me making me feel warm.

Could this be love?

Should this be love?

It is love.

We stay like this for hours on end.

Talking softly.

Listening to the rain.

Making each other feel warm.

Could this be love?

Should this be love?

It is love ......
