Harmonizing

Harmonizing

A Poem by Here's What I Say
"

Listening to David Archuleta (again) and Brandy, about something that is finally happening to me.

"

I hate you David

I hate how we feel the same way

But you got to the words before I did

Hi Brandy

Long time no see

I'm not with that last guy

I'm trying to sing as low as I can

Under the constant buzz

Of fellow college students

David and I sound good together singing,

"Why do I keep running from the truth

All I ever think about is you."

You make me want to sing.

And you're not even doing anything.

Sound familiar, Brandy?

I said that last time

Last long time ago

We sing the same words

But in different keys

Our notes are different, but not our feelings

I hate love songs

For taking words out of

My mouth

But I'm falling in love with you

I'm sorry if it's not good enough to just

Say so

You don't have to love me back

Unrequited love and I are best pals

We listen to the same music

So I'll keep on singing

And perfecting my own

Harmony

I love it. :)
My absolute favorite lines were:
"You don't have to love me back

Unrequited love and I are best pals

We listen to the same music"

Dude - that was genius.
And the conversational aspect of the poem makes it to easy to read, so easy to become familiar and get wrapped up in the words.
You are so awesome. I'm off to read more!
