A Poem by Cory Barrett

Morning is worst.
Awake the day is not yet written.
Yesterday done, and thankfully.
Wishes are a fuel without leverage.
Exhaustive dreams keep pounding.
Road trips, job postings, real estate.
Wonder is an outlet, but lacks teeth.
