Going nowhere

Going nowhere

A Poem by Surabhi Kaushik

Inspired by the poem "Dreams" by Mary Oliver from her book Dream Work.

Thick as ice, hard as a rock,
standing alone in the freezing cold
Now I know how it feels to grow old!
My youth felt like the fragrance of a thousand flowers
floating in crisp golden sunshine.
But now, it has all vanished
leaving me frozen and bare
I think I am going nowhere…
