Music is a Sage

This is for my very good friend Sage Gabrielle :) Inspired by the great fireworks we saw today in rockville center

you play that trombone 

sing the song with me 

as we orchestrate our happiness

let us count the beats between fireworks

musical hide and seek

lighting up again

let your troubles dissolve

into the night sky

if only for a moment

our songs that we share

happy sad or in-between

will teach us through our lives

what it means to truly be

you know music is a sage

and every sun must set

but there's one thing you must never forget

that your song was always meant

to end on a high note

I think it can be safely said that music and poetry are not far from each other...you've brought that principle to life wonderfully here, in the way the sounds around you become the poem itself...an upbeat and enjoyable read...great work :)
