The Gears of Time

These short stories are the foundation for an as-yet-unwritten story. Each one has some bearing on who the main characters will be in that main story, making this an exercise in developing those main characters. I appreciate any and all feedback but especially regarding: Believability, vagueness (does it keep you intrigued or confused?), steampunk elements, and the characters themselves.
