Random Arrows

Random Arrows

A Poem by Tam Warink
"

Stuff like this should remain hidden between the ears.

"

I shot an arrow into the air.
It fell to earth and killed a bear.

Now, I wonder if it was fair;
That random arrow over there?

The question sounds simple enough, yet it goes much deeper, doesn't it? Fairness, to me at least, is an illusion based on personal beliefs. It wasn't fair nor unfair that the random arrow killed the bear. It just was.
No waste of time.

To Answer
I saw him kill the bear.
No accident it was not fair.
A devilish delinquent plan.
He shot the bear and then he ran.

I know (what you mean), Chris. Thanks for the quick peek and the commentary; much appreciated.
Oh my poet, most cantankerous.

I had plans to go to the fair
a magical place
where everything made sense
Alas, there was nothing there
