Thorn in Your Side

Thorn in Your Side

A Poem by Beatrice Mars
"

Daddy's little girl.

"

She's the thorn in

Your side,

The albatross

Around your neck,

The stone in your shoe,

She's always

In your way.

The elephant in the room.

She'll be there

At every corner,

Questioning your (methods)

Motives.

Her face shines in

Every bight sun

And is reflected

In every silver moon.

Your little girl

Is watching over you,

Looking out for her daddy,

Better than you ever looked

After her.

The bitterness of this piece is slashing. I like the little twist at the end. Nice poem.

Keep Writing. ^___^

This is wonderfully written. I believe a lot of women can destroy a man.

Beatrice there is a sudden twist that is enlightening to this piece..."Your little girl....after her". Great technique....that final verse transcends our human realm again great contrasting themes.
