The Changeling

The Changeling

A Poem by Jen
"

Written for the 10/40 poetry contest. The original was 73 words XD so I apologize for the skeletal form you see now. Hopefully it still works.

"
Full moon tricks,
faerie's close proximity.
She in labor, knows no sleight,
the council to monitor.
But breathe flat,
and two exchanged.
Birthed in blood
a daughter, taken then given.
Mountains tremble, faerie child,
and will never know her origins.

This was far from clumsy...in fact it was very good. I enjoyed it and like what you
did with the 10/40. Excellent attempt and a very worthy submission to Tovli's contest.

I liked this a lot. It reminded me of the legends of children who are stolen and switched with faeries. Kudos to you!

One tip is; you should add more, i understand sometimes less i more, but in this case you didn't really give us anything to work with. The key of a short poem is to have more importance to it or a trick.
I hope you don't take this review too hard i'am just trying to help. Also i like your last line.
