Death of a Poet

Death of a Poet

A Poem by Timtim
"

This poem describes the time when creativity is at its all time low

"
Death of a poet
Letters crumbling
losing meaning, losing rhythm
words failing
disintegrating forming illusions
of times before and times after
expressions collapsing
overloading the heart, foxing the soul
Until eventually...
all emotions start exploding

Death of a poet
the loss of meaning
failure to capture an essence
no belief in any presence
just mislaid black and white imagery
not of words
of letters gone astray
letters in search of belonging.
no beginning no ending

Death of a poet
A composition gone astray
words leading on and on
paragraphs mystifying
and on and on, eluding
to an already extinct place
rhyming and rocking the mind.
to a head-aching tune
burying all sense of understanding

Your words describe so vividly this poets struggle. Maybe he is thinking too hard lol....that's what I would have suggested to him. It is certainly the death of a poet...but the good side is, the poet can always be revived lol....

Great write once again my friend!! Excellent job :))

This does not sound like writer's block it is too good. I don't know if you had writer's block when you wrote this ... sure does not sound like it.. this verse is really good:

Death of a poet
the loss of meaning
failure to capture an essence
no belief in any presence
just mislaid black and white imagery
not of words
of letters gone astray
letters in search of belonging.
no beginning no ending

Great descriptive words you used. A wonderful poem.
