Paradise lost

Paradise lost

A Poem by Awen

This is not paradise
Paradise hides from you
It lurks around the corner
Waiting to be found
Like a lost thought
A Lost memory
Retrieved from the depths
Of reality
To experience love
You must also experience hate
To be healthy
You must first be unwell
You must roll the dice
Take chances
Play twister with the gods
Choose your path at the crossroads of destiny
Your life is a flame
A candle which burns out
Its precious, Don't take it for granted
Ride the waves
Sail through the storms
Be good to one another
Embrace uniqueness
Don't be afraid of failure
Stand tall to ridicule
Look Racism in the eyes
Respect one another
Be grateful for what you've got
And if all else fails
Drink,

Mines a double.
