Beautiful Muslimah (Beautiful Muslim Woman [unedited])

Beautiful Muslimah (Beautiful Muslim Woman [unedited])

A Poem by T. R. Writer
"

This is the original version and so a quick lesson in Arabic is required: Allah is the Arabic word for God; Isa is the Arabic translation of Jesus and Alhumdulillah is the Arabic phrase for "Thank God".

"

Beautiful Muslimah

An angel on Earth
Allah’s beauty shines through her
His love evident

It is easy to
Recognize and appreciate
Your grace
For any man
With eyes
Can see that you are the
Epitome of beauty

Faithful Muslimah
Spreading Allah’s love to all
Beauty shines within

Your spirit and
Your zest for Allah
Radiates through you
Like a beacon of light
Directing others
To Allah’s words
And the straight path

Bible and Qur'an
The Holy books from Allah
Guide our daily lives

At a time when
My life was dark and
Obscured by
Religious labels
And inconsistent ideations
I prayed hard
That Allah
Would show me
The way
And then he sent you
And for a moment
 I was confused
Believing you
Were the answer to
Another prayer of mine
A prayer for a beautiful
Wife who loved Allah
I didn’t yet know
That you were indeed
The answer to my prayers-
My prayers for clarity

Isa died for me
His life is the example
Alhumdulillah

Hmm, l won't say too much as l've read the other version as well, but l must admit this one packs more of a punch in it's own way - the arabic gave me goosebumps, l think because it's such a foreign concept. So much behind the culture, though, l can only imagine the untold mysteries - hence the shivers. l like them both, but... this one more.

A amazing poem. This is the poetry the world need to hear and read. I was in the Muslim world for five years. I saw only warmth and kindness. The poem is beautiful. A wise man knows the grace and gentleness of a good woman. There is no better peace. Thank you for this poem.

I love both versions of this though I think I love this one a little more because of the Arabic references which seem to be more in keeping with the woman you're describing, but kudos to you for writing too versions of the same poem and having each work in various and subtle ways. :)
