Childhood Days

Childhood Days

A Poem by Wanderer

Wish I could go back to my childhood days
When life was beautiful and gay
When there was no burden of expectations
Relationships existed without any conditions

I wish to play those innocent games
Want to cycle for hours on those bylanes
I wish to climb the mango tree in the neighbourhood
Get down, run and hide as fast I could

I wish to hear those stories from grandma
And play cricket all day with grandpa
In the evening want the family together for dinner
Talk, discuss and fill the air with laughter

I wish those old days could come back again
Wish things become more straightforward and plain
Wish I could relive those days
When life was beautiful and gay

Life used to be great for a lot of people. Being a grown up has it's battles at times.
This is so very good, enjoyed
