          In The Storm

She cries out...into the storm,

But her voice speaks hollow words.

Warm rain bathes the earth,

Alas she cannot be heard.

For ears that were once open,

Closed long...long ago.

Her cries in the silence...

Freeze like winter's snow.

Her heart breaks over again,

As she cries out into the storm;

Cursing that long-lost day,

When a dead love was born.
