Summer

Summer

A Poem by Virdie Morrison
"

This is an older poem I wrote. This is one of the few poems I've written that deals with the subject of love.

"

Summer;

Here comes the rain.

A beautiful escape,

a reminder of the pain.

Star filled eyes:

A big mistake.

Attachment. No escape.

Trapped in your arms,

love I never knew.

Sit in your car,

fall asleep on your bed.

Something first loves never did.

No regrets;

here to stay?

Rain again another day.
