Volunteers

Volunteers

A Poem by The Twin Arenas
"

nothing gets sicker than a lamb

"

They stuffed a city bus
with gifts for the homeless
and then went out for Olive Garden.

The Italians eat slow
I drink like a barber.

We filled that goddamn bus full of crap
in a little under an hour.

In the taxi home,
I thought about where you might be
going next year.

Helping others is a way of life. Funny to see them italians getting in touch with you I hope not late this time. It always comes at me as if it was something to do wit hyour work. Hard labour or trying to help others as the title describes it as a volunteer and the selfless cause will guide you. This year wherever the location may be but selflessness is a road that I would want to travel any day of the week.

Great impulse

Thankyou

even when we do what we can to help the less fotunate, it seems we still end up feeling guilty that we have it better than they...
we go to Olive Garden...never even having a thought of those in the street...their garden is poor and empty, like their stomachs.
