Like a Dream

Like a Dream

A Poem by Wanda

Like a dream

We were standing together face to face

Like a dream

You were holding me close and my heart began to race

Like a dream

Our eyes met and the world seemed to disappear

Like a dream we began to dance to music only we could hear

Like a dream

You touched my cheek and traced my lips tenderly

Like a dream

Our lips slowly met and we kissed passionately

Like a dream

I was with you and I didn't have a care

Like a dream

We shared something only you and I could share

This is really lovely. Nice use of repetition to make this read almost as though it /is/ occuring in a dream. (: I love the line "Like a dream we began to dance to music only we could hear" Beautiful imagery!

As a rule, I don't like rhyming poems, but this one is really good. This is so sweet, really shows your happiness with this person.I like the repetition of 'Like a dream' as well.
