Mystification

Mystification

A Poem by Woja

Melody of a sparrow carried on a gentle breeze;
in endless pursuit, he chases
illusions through budding trees.

Enchanting butterflies
take pleasure in new found freedom,
a final transformation to the sky.

Temptress seeking connection
bares the scent of an alluring flower,
causing bees to dance.

The morning dew condenses on red petals
as the sun peeks through darkened skies,
offering a moment of clarity in reflection.

Remnants from sharpened blades
swiftly acquire their revenge,
leaving the soles of children's feet stained.

Beauty becomes entangled
with weeds as they spread unseen;
through tightened grip, virtue's is strangled.

Mesmerizing moments bring
innocence -- lost in mystification --
the consequence of spring.
