Fears of Old

Fears of Old

A Poem by Charlie McEwan

My fears run deep
Like canyons old
Twisting and turning
My emotions sold

I fear for life
But also death
My heart of love
Is now bereft

What hope have I
For futures new
When all I see
Is the loss of you

Love the title and the opening..."My fears run deep
Like canyons old " This is such a poignant picture!

Gracefully done. We all fear loss.
