Let me talk about my sunny thoughts

That sounds promising right?

Sunny is good and sunny is nice

Sunny is everyone's paradise

Sunny sounds positive 

And sunny sounds kind

Sunny seems like a good state of mind

Yeah at a distance the sun seems good

A condition for the ideal type of mood

But the thing about my sunny thoughts

And the happy memories they bring

They might keep me warm at first

Comfort me at my worst

But just like looking at the sun

I regret staring into these mental skies

Because when I stare at them too long

It blinds my mind and hurts my eyes

It steals the beauty from my sunrise

So a few of my sunny thoughts

I don't want to think about at all

But I can't wish them away

All I can do is wait for the night
To take this sun from my day
