Library Love

Library Love

A Poem by Lala

Love to some is like a library
Treating a heart as a book
Only taking one look
Only read what's on the cover
They will check you out
Wanting to be your lover
Without knowing what you're all about
If you happen to find
My heart in this library of life
And decide to carry it outside
Please only do so
Without intending to bring it back
My heart is mine
But if you want it to be yours
It depends if you're willing
To pay the library fine
Please spare me the sorrow
My heart is not something
I want you to only borrow
And maybe that's the real thought
Behind stealing someone's heart
