Who is your 'you'? he asked

What do you mean? she said

Well all the movies and songs

Poems and stories 

Have emotions in different categories

But most of it is about a special person

So who is that in your version?

She smiled and answered

That you would be you

He laughed when she had spoken

Then silence took over the moment

With him not knowing

She wasn't joking

One day he will realize that she is writing about him. He read enough to know that she was writing about someone specifically. He will pick up on the hints one day. Then again, he may be clueless and need it broken down for him. That's one thing about what we do. We can pour our hearts out in a way that seems we can be read by anyone and everyone, only to later find, that it isn't as clear to those reading that they are our subject. Maybe there is some security in that fact.

You've written that down beautifully ♥ I especially loved the last part about the security of it, because it's both isn't it? You want someone to know yet at the same time you don't because it's you being you're most fragile self. But when someone does figure it out, it can be the most liberating thing ever.

It can be liberating if they understand and accept what we're feeling. Otherwise, it can actually be bondage. What we do can free us and at the same time imprison us. Maybe anonymity is best.
