Difficult To Care

Is it weird that my caring

Has turned into withdrawing

Into no longer talking

And closing your door

Instead of knocking

My caring hasn't been stopping

It's just a protection mechanism

The way I deal with it I guess

Is communicating less

A form of egocentrism

To stop my heart from falling

To not listen to it calling

Because the more I know

The more your soul is on show

The more my love will grow

And then I know 

What I will never do

Is letting you go
