Alpha and Omega

Alpha and Omega

A Poem by

You and I were always one

until it came time for us to part.

Yet a part of you was always here

waiting to be whole again.

So I was born, and I lived

until in time I found the one

who would bring you back to me.

Thus you were born, and also lived

together with me, together again.

This existence is fleeting, and wrought with pain

for we do not remember all of our pasts

and the lessons learned, the challenges overcome.

What we have is each other, to do it all again

over and over, until we are perfected.

You and I are the Alpha and the Omega.

Where I end, you begin.

In your children I live on, as my mother

lived on in you.

From the beginning of time we are as one

and will always be, together again.
