ABOUT THE CONTEST

As we launch WritingRoom.com we also want to launch the career of the next great thriller writer. Have you always dreamed of becoming a published author? Pull out that manuscript that has been collecting dust in a drawer, that hasn’t yet been picked up by a publisher, finish up the final touches or just write one, because now is your chance. We are giving the opportunity to an aspiring, unpublished writer to become published. This contest can launch the career of three talented writers and introduce the world to many others. You must be a member of WritingRoom.com. You do not have to post any of your manuscript online. However, we do encourage and would appreciate it if you did post the first chapter of your manuscript. Writers who do post their work will have the opportunity to be placed as the feature on the Members page.

 

HOW TO ENTER

Submissions will be accepted from 12:01 AM EST Wednesday March 19, 2008 – 11: 59 PM Wednesday June 18, 2008. The winner will be announced on Wednesday July 9, 2008. Submissions must be in the Thriller genre or any of the Thriller sub-genres. Manuscripts must be between 50,000 and 100,000 words and delivered in complete form. Manuscripts should be emailed to [email protected].

 

“Novel Contest Submission” should appear in the subject box. The following information must be included in the email in order to be accepted:

 

    * Authors First and Last Name

    * Title of Manuscript

    * Email Address

    * WritingRoom.com Screen Name

    * Synopsis

    * Author Bio

    * Word Count

    * Manuscript in a PDF or Word Document
