I Miss

I Miss

A Poem by Wynter Ignatius
"

Have not wrote for myself in a while

"
I miss...
...a goodnight I've never whispered
...a good morning kiss not given
...a loving embace not yet had
...falling asleep next to the unknown her

I miss...
...a hand I have never held
...a smile I've not the pleasure to have seen
...the laugh that never have I heard
...a glance my eyes have not caught

I miss...
...words of affection yet to be spoken
...a simple touch not gracing my presence
...a tight hug not from long absence
...a look missing in eyes when we must part

I miss...
...three words no longer spoken
...someone there beside me
...a confidant and kind soul
...someone not my own but here for me alone

The style and pattern is clear and well written. I like the concept of loss yet unattained and how the heart longs for the love and care of another.
