Friends

May our Friendship last forever.
May I swim in your sea.
May we go through life together.
May there always be a "we".

May I be your bright blue sky.
May you breath my calming air.
May you never wonder why each time you look for me, I'm there.

May we pass on a smile, like the extravagance of the sun,
Yet when in pain; May our unhappiness  be one.
May we share our passionate days
As if fun for one and two

And if we do go separate ways,
Please let this love go with you.

I treasure friendship above all wealth and have been richly blessed with amazing friends. Your poem is an accurate tribute to friendship. Yet you have stressed more on happiness and little on how friends are in grief, sadness and when one is in deep trouble. That actually is the litmus test and nothing can be more rewarding to the giver and the receiver in friendship when the going gets tough! However, the line ‘May there always be a “ we”, says a thousand words and l liked that line the best!
