A Poem by aaron

I sit here and listen to her words,

But they merely echo through my mind,

Only to fade into the emptiness.

My heart fades with it.

My voice finding no solace.

She talks to me with kindness,

But all I feel are knives.

She leans on me with soft smiles,

But all I feel are fangs.

Digging into my flesh

I wish I could laugh fully.

I wish I could smile with her.

I wish I could be by her side without wanting more.

But I can’t.

Not now.

Not possible.

I still want more.

Need more.

The pain behind this piece is so apparent. It's simple, but eloquent.
Very nice. (:
