My take on my British identity

I say I'm British , what the f**k does it mean?
borders drawn by Churchill hateful hand-
the Middle East a bag of cats and dogs-
chalk and cheese cooking in a pot,
ash and whiskey fly on the map -and mixing with brutal conservatism,
The British did that, that's what Britain is.

"British values"
simply means divisions in society-
making sure everything jolly well stays the same ,
because heavens we would hate it if anything changed,
we wouldn't be able to cope!
we keep our monarchy instead of putting them to guiolitine;
we keep poverty because we are used to it
So we
Throw water in a lake instead of arrid land ,
we make more cuts than a Brazilian rainforest,
we tell the homeless it's their fault for being there.
That's British to me , f**k scones and tea.

I feel shame looking at the flag , when it reminds me of slavery-
nationalism is a way to avoid criticism , or any other cism- because this is the UK.
where people in Surrey are happy , and people in Lancashire are sad , "but that's how it's mean to be mummy dear?"
"You'd think they'd be used to it by now"

I feel like a different species- having nothing handed to me , life being hard-
a "treat" being a Greggs pasty , not a f*****g holiday to the Maldives.
This is not the time for romanticism ,
language perverse can obscure the truth-
in the state I'm living in now, I don't see a future,
I'm a shallow room without a roof.

I don't know about
Wales , Scotland and Northern Ireland ,
but I know they are all land owned by Eng-land ,
I know that devolution disguised as evolution is not the solution to woes-
representation of a nation by those which are intrusively
Not them
Is Colonisation in new forms , neo is a prefix that needs eradication,
apart from before Britain, where I hope it will stay for the better,
to build a better nation .
