I Can't Do It

I Can't Do It

A Poem by Alex

I can't do it

I can't forget you

Do you know how hard I've

Tried?

How

Difficult

It is to get rid of you

I love you

Too much

You'll never talk to me again

I'll never

See you

Hear you

Brush up against you

Breathe in the air

You sent

Just by walking past me

I need to forget you

I need to erase you

Before it drives me

To do stupid things

Half-drunk things

Because I can't overcome

The sorrow

Abandonment

Insignificance

Pain

Hurt

Torture

Why can't I forget you?

We were never friends

And yet

I'm holding back tears

Because you're leaving me

As good as dead

Only in Heaven,

You can still see me

I can feel your presence

But

Moving is different

You'll find new friends

Forgetting the girl

Who you don't deserve

But she would settle for you

ANYWAY

I can't forget you

I just can't do it
